Terms of Service & End User License Agreement

1. Introduction

1Checkin Solutions Ltd operates an automated airline check-in service through its website and mobile applications. These Terms of Service govern all use of the platform across desktop and mobile devices.

The company reserves the right to modify this agreement at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting, and continued use constitutes acceptance. Users should regularly review updates at this page.

Your use of and/or registration with the Service constitutes your ongoing acceptance of this Agreement.

2. Scope of Service

1Checkin operates as a check-in aggregator, offering automated online check-in subject to airline availability and accurate user-provided booking data. Services include flight monitoring, alerts, and additional premium features on free or paid subscription bases.

The service is supplier-dependent. English is the determining language for all communications and contract interpretation.

3. Access to the Apps

Applications may only be downloaded on compatible devices owned or controlled by the user. Users assume responsibility for all access and usage on any device. Mobile service providers may charge for internet access.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your log-on ID and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

The company cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operability.

4. Languages

1Checkin continuously updates its services primarily in English. 1Checkin does not guarantee availability and correctness of information displayed in any other language. English prevails as the main language for all services and communications.

5. System Requirements & Costs

Users need a compatible device and internet connection. Automated check-in requests are free up to a limited amount for individual users, unless users subscribe to paid plans or enter other contracts.

6. Check-ins & Check-in Balance

Users receive a certain number of free check-ins. 1Checkin reserves the right to change the free check-in amount without notice. Additional check-ins may be purchased through in-app purchases. Only successfully processed check-ins will be deducted from the user's balance.

One free check-in is added monthly to users who checked in via the service during the previous month.

7. Payments & Billing

Subscriptions may be purchased directly from the website or through third parties such as app stores, paid monthly or through pre-payment for specific periods. The company communicates price changes in advance, effective at the start of the next subscription period.

A fourteen-day cooling-off period applies. The right to withdraw is lost once the service is actively used during this period.

8. Extra Services & Additional Service Charges

Premium features include real-time flight alerts, the Logbook Chat (for seat maps and luggage information), and the ability to purchase additional services through linked credit cards.

An additional service charge of EUR 2.00 + 7% of the service cost applies to seat upgrades, class upgrades, extra luggage, special meals, and similar services. Additional service charges are always displayed in a clear, transparent way.

9. Renewal & Cancellation

Unless purchased for a pre-paid period, subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the current period ends. Cancellation takes effect the day after the current period ends.

No refunds are provided after the cooling-off period expires. For refunds within the cooling-off period, contact support@1check.in.

10. User's Obligation to Co-operate

Users must provide complete and truthful information during registration and service use, and must report any unauthorised access immediately. By providing check-in data, users authorise 1Checkin to act on their behalf for automated check-ins.

11. Permitted Use

Users may only use the service for non-commercial, personal use in accordance with applicable laws and this agreement.

12. Prohibited Uses

Users may not:

• Republish, redistribute, or retransmit the app or its content
• Copy or store the app beyond permitted normal use
• Store the app on networked servers or create databases through systematic downloading
• Remove or alter app content or circumvent security measures
• Use the app in ways damaging to 1Checkin's reputation

All rights granted under this Agreement will terminate immediately in the event of breach.

13. Limited Liability for Third Parties

Third-party app stores are operated independently. 1Checkin is not responsible for these stores or their content. 1Checkin does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for the behavior, features, or content of any third-party application or device.

14. Functionality and Content

Downloaded apps are provided “as is” and “as available” at the user's sole risk. 1Checkin reserves the right to change design, features, and functionality through updates. The company makes no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for purpose.

15. Non-Individual Customers

1Checkin reserves the right to restrict services to companies if an unusually high number of check-ins are requested by a single entity without written consent. A fee-based B2B model is available for corporate clients — contact info@1check.in for details.

16. Warranty

1Checkin endeavours to keep services available at least 90% of the time. The company assumes no responsibility for third-party airline services, hardware, software, or user-assigned seats.

17. Liability

Users are responsible for data accuracy and completeness. 1Checkin is excluded from liability for damages caused by slight negligence, except for obligations essential for proper contract execution. Liability for foreseeable damages is limited to the benefit typical for this contract type. Liability restrictions do not apply to personal injury, gross negligence, or intentional conduct.

18. Feedback

Users grant 1Checkin exclusive rights to all submitted feedback. 1Checkin owes no obligation or compensation regarding feedback. To maintain ownership of intellectual property in feedback, users should not submit it.

19. Refunds

Unless stated in writing otherwise, all fees and charges are non-refundable.

20. Personal Data Consent

Users may manage personal data within their protected accounts. Data used includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, flight information, payment methods, and frequent-flyer memberships. This consent can be revoked at any time in written form to the contact email address listed. Upon revocation, data is deleted unless legally required retention applies.

21. Dangerous Goods & Travel Requirements

Users actively accept the dangerous goods regulations of each airline. 1Checkin is not responsible for the disregarding of these or any travel requirements which the user must personally fulfil. See our Dangerous Goods page for details.

23. Referral Program

Eligibility

Participants must be two different natural persons at least 18 years old, residing where 1Checkin operates. Reward check-ins are credited only after all criteria are met.

Referral Bonus

Two check-ins are earned when:

• An existing user shares their unique referral code or link
• An invited friend opens an account using that code
• The invited friend gets successfully checked in at least once by forwarding a booking

Miscellaneous

The referral program is a courtesy and does not create enforceable legal obligations. 1Checkin may suspend, terminate, or change programme terms at any time. Rewards are credited within 30 days of a qualifying event. Pending referrals are deleted after one year.

24. Liability Disclaimer

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE USING THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. 1CHECKIN EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES. 1CHECKIN DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY FLIGHT OR OTHER INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. USERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR INFORMATION ACCURACY.

Airlines and other suppliers are independent contractors, not 1Checkin agents. 1CHECKIN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTIES FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT.

25. Service Modification; Termination or Suspension

1Checkin has the right to modify the service at any time without notice, including adding or removing features. The company may terminate or suspend access for any or no reason without notice.

26. Final Provisions

Applicable Law

Portuguese law governs this agreement, excluding the UN Sales Convention and International Private Law provisions. For EU consumer transactions, the law of the consumer's domicile may apply for mandatory consumer rights.

Severability

If any provision becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid. Invalid provisions are replaced with valid ones achieving the parties' original economic objectives.
